Introduction
Clarion Shipping is a global logistics leader with operations across 25 countries. Headquartered in Dubai, the company has built a reputation as one of the most reliable service providers in the Middle East. With nearly three decades of expertise, Clarion now plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of e-commerce fulfillment across the MENA region and beyond.
Clarion’s flagship facility spans 35,000 square meters and can hold close to 125,000 cubic meters of cargo. The company entered e-commerce fulfillment after COVID, building on its logistics foundation to meet a new wave of demand.
To serve modern e-commerce needs, Clarion focused on strategically located fulfillment centers across the UAE, covering everything from warehousing, picking and packing to cold chain and last-mile delivery. But with rapid growth and rising customer expectations, the company needed smarter technology to unify operations and reduce inefficiencies.

Challenges
As Clarion expanded into e-commerce fulfillment, it encountered several operational bottlenecks that slowed growth and impacted customer satisfaction. The main challenges the company faced included:
- Lack of real-time visibility: Clarion offers storage, picking, packing, and scheduled last-mile delivery services. However, disconnected systems limited inventory visibility. Clients had no way of knowing their inventory status in real time, leading to frequent follow-ups and miscommunication. This lack of transparency affected trust and made it difficult for customers to plan replenishment and manage their own sales strategies.
- Outdated legacy system: The company relied on a system that could not keep up with modern e-commerce needs. Manual data entry and fragmented tools caused delays, duplication of work, and inconsistencies in tracking orders and shipments.
- High rate of manual errors: With most processes handled manually, such as order entry, dispatch, and CBM (cubic meter) calculations, human errors were common. These errors led to incorrect orders, fulfillment delays, and operational inefficiencies.
- Temperature control and batch management complexity: For customers in sectors like healthcare and perishables, Clarion needed strict handling protocols, batch and expiry tracking, and FIFO capabilities. Without an advanced system, the company risked wastage, compliance challenges, and poor service reliability for critical goods.
- Lack of scalable support: As Clarion’s operations expanded, its existing systems couldn’t support rapid growth. Managing multiple warehouses and onboarding new clients required manual effort, making it difficult to replicate processes and maintain consistent service quality.
Implementation
To overcome its operational bottlenecks, Clarion turned to Anchanto as a technology partner and adopted the Anchanto Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Anchanto Operations Experience Platform (OXM) across its fulfillment centers. The focus was on creating a smooth transition, minimizing disruptions, and enabling rapid scalability as the business expanded.
Malavika Manoj, E-commerce Project Coordinator at Clarion, said, “We knew we needed a smart, scalable platform and that’s where Anchanto came in.”
Anchanto’s team worked closely with Clarion to:
- Automate core processes such as inventory tracking, order allocation, and fulfillment updates.
- Provide structured onboarding and training to Clarion staff, ensuring fast adoption and confidence in the system.
- Digitize inventory and client accounts to establish a reliable foundation for e-commerce fulfillment.
- Integrate multiple sales channels so orders can flow automatically into a centralized dashboard.
- Roll out the system in phases, giving the business room to adapt while avoiding operational downtime.
With this phased approach, Clarion quickly connected sales channels, automated order flows, and centralized warehouse operations. The result was a future-ready digital framework that built confidence among Clarion’s team and clients. It has set the company up for scalable, sustainable growth.
Solutions
With the implementation of Anchanto’s OXM and WMS software, Clarion transformed its operations in the following ways:
1. Centralized, real-time inventory visibility
Anchanto’s cloud-based WMS provides a single platform for both Clarion to track stock movements, availability, and order status in real time. This visibility improved client confidence, enabled faster replenishment planning, and eliminated the uncertainty caused by manual updates.
2. Automation replacing legacy systems
Anchanto unified order and inventory flows across sales channels, eliminating dependence on outdated processes. Automated order capture, dispatch tracking, and integrated workflows reduced turnaround time and gave Clarion a modern foundation to scale.
3. Error reduction through intelligent workflows
By automating repetitive tasks such as delivery notifications, CBM calculations, and dispatch planning, Clarion minimized human errors. Orders could now flow seamlessly from placement to delivery, improving fulfillment accuracy and reducing costly mistakes.
4. Temperature control management with compliance built-in
Anchanto’s batch management, expiry alerts, and FIFO handling gave Clarion the ability to manage sensitive goods efficiently. These features minimized wastage, ensured regulatory compliance, and strengthened reliability for high-value categories like healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and groceries.
5. Multi-warehousing and scalability powered by a single dashboard
Anchanto’s multi-warehouse management capability allowed Clarion to oversee all fulfillment centers from a single dashboard. Inventory balancing, performance tracking, and space utilization across sites became easier to manage, enabling the company to support its warehouse expansion (1 to 4 warehouses) without losing operational efficiency. Additionally, with automation in place, Clarion was able to replicate and expand its warehouse operations rapidly.
6. Centralized visibility to clients through a white labeled platform
As a 3PL, Clarion offers its services to multiple retailers and brands who expect complete visibility of their inventory. By implementing Anchanto’s OXM in addition to their WMS, Clarion can now offer a white labeled platform where their clients can see and manage their inventory and orders processed by the logistics company. Clients can also pull their own performance reports directly from the platform, giving them independent access to data without waiting on Clarion’s team.
7. TMS integration
Clarion required its transport management system to connect with Anchanto’s software for the smooth flow of data across systems powering different operations. The seamless integration between the warehouse and transport systems closed a major coordination gap and became an incredibly valuable part of Clarion’s partnership with Anchanto.
Outcomes
With Anchanto OXM and WMS, Clarion achieved measurable improvements across operations. The company:
- Expanded from 1 to 4 warehouses in just 6 months
- Onboarded 15+ brands onto its unified system (in 6 months)
- Improved order processing turnaround by 20% to 25%
- Increased fulfillment and inventory accuracy
- Significantly reduced manual errors across daily operations
- Enhanced cold storage reliability with batch tracking and expiry control
- Strengthened client trust and satisfaction through real-time visibility and transparency
Conclusion
Clarion is set to expand globally into India, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the UK, and the US. With strong investments in infrastructure and last-mile capabilities, the company is targeting rapid delivery models for FMCG, beauty, and essential products.
Quick commerce is a major focus of the growth plans, and Clarion is investing in infrastructure and last mile capabilities specifically to support rapid delivery in this space. At the same time, it is strengthening its cold chain logistics for healthcare and perishable categories, backed by:
- Temperature-controlled warehousing
- Real-time monitoring
- Compliance with strict handling protocols
With Anchanto as a long-term partner, Clarion is building a connected, scalable fulfillment network that enables global brands to launch quickly, expand efficiently, and deliver without borders.
