The Anchanto Story

Anchanto SaaS Technology and integration with ecosystem players makes online selling and ecommerce logistics simple for everyone. The Anchanto platform is ecommerce ecosystem, enabling and connecting all key players across the globe. Anchanto was established on 17th June 2011 in Singapore with the vision "to give customers an enchanting experience" through our software platform and associated services.

We built our first version of the ecommerce warehouse management system in January 2013 and secured important early customers on this platform. Our customers still faced operational challenges regarding their ecommerce logistic operations and requested us to extend our services to manage their fulfillment. Sensing a market opportunity validated by sizable prospects, we established our first warehouse in Singapore in March 2013.

This was paramount for the growth of Anchanto as we were now a technology company that at a same time runs their own technology to become a leading ecommerce fulfilment player in the region. By mid of 2014, we secured several ecommerce customers such as Groupon, Levis, Creme-Simon, Cluster-Cluster, Mums.sg and RSI, and moved to larger warehouse.

We also built our very cross-border ecommerce technology and secured a first of its kind business deal with WND UK; to fulfil orders from Europe to Singapore for customers like ASOS, House of Fraser, Protein World and many more. In December 2014, we optimised our cross-border processing platform and cut man power by 80% by reducing intermediate process and scanning requirements, all in just 3 months.

We secured 89 online businessses from Europe and increased our revenue by 30% from this new technology-led business model alone. That same year, we developed a technology on top of our core Fulfillment by Anchanto platform, which helps manage our customers' online businesses on marketplaces (Channel management, which later became SelluSeller.com). We linked their inventory seamlessly, onto multiple marketplaces such as Qoo10, Lazada, Zalora, Snapdeal, Flipkart, Shopclues, Amazon and eBay to push inventory, digital contents, promotions and receive customer orders, all in real time. L'Oreal, 3M, Studio XII and their sub brands are our key channel management customers.

In November 2015, we successfuly completed a Series-B funding and created an alliance with TSE listed transcosmos inc. Japan,creating one of the largest ecommerce logistics businesses in the APAC region. transcosmos' current market capitalisation is over USD $1 billion. This strategic business alliance will enable us to deliver our clients' products to consumers through ecommerce one-stop service "Knowhow with Anchanto's ecommerce fulfillment capabilities." transcosmos will also support clients deploying their own ecommerce operations in the ASEAN market and will co-operate widely with us as a strategic partner in ASEAN and India.

With integrated technology and infrastructure in place, Anchanto delivers exceptional service, world-class fulfillment solutions, and partnerships that drive value and revenue for clients across all markets in Asia. In 2016, we deployed our ecommerce warehouse management system with huge logistic players in over 9 countries in Asia. Morever we launched SelluSeller.com in India, Indonesia and Singapore, which lets thousands of merchants list and manage their inventory, and order processing across marketplaces.

Meet the Team

At Anchanto we believe in leadership by example. Our management team is diverse group of top managers with many years of extensive experience across broad set of industries.

Logistics and entrepreneurship are deeply embedded into Vaibhav’s life and family history. Starting with his grandfather who started a logistics business for trucks in central India in 1945. Today, Vaibhav has taken two generations of logistics experience and learning and brought this into a new, digital era. He co-founded Anchanto in 2011 out of a belief that eCommerce logistics and fulfillment can be made seamless through technology and the right platform. In his role as Chief Executive Officer, Vaibhav oversees Anchanto’s regional business and heads company strategy.

This includes management of marketing, sales, product, talent acquisition and regional market expansion. Post securing series B funding and business alliance with transcosmos inc. Japan, Anchanto is poised to expand in region under his leadership. Vaibhav holds executive education from Harvard Business School and IIM as well as qualifications in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. He also spends his spare time dreaming about being a painter and excels at graphic design and arts.

Abhimanyu leads the technology function since the day he started his entrepreneurship innings with Anchanto. Coming with strong engineering background and experience working with customers from different geographies, he was quick to adapt the new technology and domain. Abhimanyu, along with his team of techie rockstars successfully built software products, FBA, Cross-border and Global Fulfillment Network, and SelluSeller Platform, with SaaS capabilities. On top of leading the technology function, his responsibility also includes finance, legal and administration operations at the Anchanto India Development Center. His 12 years of professional career prior to Anchanto comes from Semiconductor domain where he led significantly big multi-location teams in technology within India and the USA. Abhimanyu holds executive education from NMIMS Bangalore as well as qualifications in E&TC Engineering. He believes 'everything is common sense and logic even the Rocket Science', which is very well visible through the software products Anchanto has developed.

Since 2011, Julien has been advising Anchanto on various finance matters and the initial business set-up of the group. Following the successful funds raising with Series A and B secured in 2014 and 2015, Julien became full time Chief Financial Officer, in charge of the overall finance operations, including communication with the shareholders and investors. On the top of the finance duties, his scope includes also legal and administration of the daily operations, as well as helping on business development with the rest of the management team. Prior to joining Anchanto, Julien has held various senior positions within few finance teams, mainly in software industry and also architecture and design business. He has been involved in Private Equity deals, leading to LBO and trade sale exits. Julien holds a Master degree from Marseille business school in France and executive education from Harvard Business School in the USA. He lives in Singapore for the past 15 years where he enjoys spending free time with his family and two young boys.

Technology, Strategy and Operations have always been the passion of Moritz. In his role as Chief Operation Officer, Moritz oversees Anchanto’s regional operations, software implementation, channel management and marketing. This includes management of global marketing, talent acquisition and regional market expansion. Post securing series B funding and business alliance with transcosmos inc. Japan, Anchanto is poised to expand in region under the new leadership team that Moritz joined in Q1 2016. Prior to joining Anchanto, Moritz was the Managing Director of foodpanda | hellofood (Rocket Internet) in Indonesia and Hong Kong. In the past, Moritz worked for several years as Management Consultant for Bain & Company in Germany. Moritz holds two Master degrees (Finance & International Mgmt) from National University of Singapore and University of Cologne. He spends his free time exploring the planet (visited >55 countries) and engaging in all kinds of sports activities.
